Kim Hee Jung Joins Upcoming K-Drama “Longing for You”

Kim Hee Jung’s agency, Inyeon Entertainment, announced on the 16th, “Kim Hee Jung has been confirmed to appear in ENA’s new Wednesday-Thursday drama Longing for You in the role of ‘Pi Jang Mi.’”

Longing for You, which will premiere on July 26th, is a truth-tracking drama where a detective, who was pursuing a murder case, confronts his family’s hidden secrets and desires. The drama is directed by Han Cheol Soo and Kim Yong Min, written by Kwon Min Soo, and produced by KT Studio Genie and Samhwa Networks.

Kim Hee Jung, who has showcased her presence in every work she has been in, will deliver a captivating performance as Pi Jang Mi. Pi Jang Mi owns the ‘Prosecutor’s Beauty Salon’ and is the mother of Go Young Joo (played by Kim Ji Eun). She is an awkward character who raised her daughter alone and has never experienced anything beyond that.

Furthermore, Pi Jang Mi embarks on a romantic journey at twilight, adding anticipation to Kim Hee Jung’s charming and nuanced acting. The chemistry between Kim Hee Jung and Kim Ji Eun will also be a point to watch. Having portrayed various realistic mother figures in numerous works, Kim Hee Jung’s portrayal of another mother role in ‘Longing for You’ raises expectations for what she will bring to the screen.

Longing for You, in which Kim Hee Jung appears, will follow Battle for Happiness and premiere on July 26th at 9 PM.
